For Slepian, Schwartz & Landgaard, 2016 brought a year filled with success, change, and challenges. Recognizing and celebrating achievement is easy; however, the trademark of a successful team is the ability to turn obstacles into opportunity. This group embraced every challenge, using each instance to sharpen our character and resolve. As a result of this team’s dedication and perseverance, we emerged a stronger and more cohesive unit.
To celebrate our firms accomplishments, and to welcome those new to our team in 2016, Slepian, Schwartz & Landgaard hosted a company retreat at the historic and beautiful Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, Ga (Jan 6th – 8th). In tribute to this team’s efforts, the retreat theme was aptly named, “The Firm Strikes Back!” This theme would prove to be prophetic, as a rare Georgia snowstorm graced our retreat weekend. In true SS&L fashion, everyone embraced the logistical challenges, and arrived in North Ga for a wonderful celebratory weekend.
Our retreat weekend consisted of casual business meetings in preparation for the coming year, various team building exercises, all while enjoying delicious catered cuisine for every meal. To highlight the team building curriculum, we participated in a culinary burger challenge, judged by the resort chef. We enjoyed a movie night with customized Banana Beds, and finished off the weekend with a 15 station clay skeet shooting competition. This much needed retreat offered everyone at Slepian, Schwartz & Landgaard a fun and casual environment to deepen relationships with colleagues, while also building the team unity and trust that is vital to our ability to deliver an exceptional client experience.
